Rubber embossing Mat
Nestabilities can be used to create great embossed images by inserting a polymer rubber mat.
How to use with your:
Cuttlebug.
Cut the image using an A-B-C plate(with cuttlebug machine). Then place the die with the card you have cut, still in the die, blade (raised cutting edge) face down on the rubber mat. To then emboss use plates A-B-B. Sandwich the rubber mat between two B plates-it will be necessary to use a cardboard shim(one or two pieces of card used to build up the thickness of the sandwich.
DO NOT attempt to perform the embossing stage using the C-plate (this will damage your Cuttlebug).
You can also you this mat to emboss with your brass/metal stencils. To do this create your B-B plate sandwich and place the paper, card or vellum that you wish to emboss between the rubber mat and your stencil . As follows.
Top: B-Plate
Stencil
Card/paper
Rubber Mat
B-Plate
Shim (if necessary-a piece of cardboard that increase the thickness of the sandwich)
Bottom: A-Spacer block
Size approx. 15cmx12cm.
